Senior Mechanical Engineer Job ID: 251143 Job Views: 148 Location: Saudi Arabia Job Category: Engineering Posted: 07-21-2010 Salary: Open Job Description: Supervises construction of multi discipline heavy civil works in projects, similar to those mentioned above; building works, including structural steel erection; roads and bridges; and marine works Ensures strict compliance with project's specifications Runs field construction, reporting directly to the Construction Manager / Project Manager and maintains day to day contact with them to identify and resolve any problem Proper implementation of schedules and milestones of the project Ensures meeting the productivity factors of the project's budget Direct and lead Section Engineers, General Foremen, Foremen and their multinational Indian/ Pakistani/ Filipino/ other crews in the field Coordinates work amongst the various disciplines of a project Plans, deploys and utilizes efficiently plant and equipment Ensures that construction crews are always supplied with enough information, drawings, sketches, materials and consumable to meet or improve target dates Implements MAC'S Safety Plan and ensures the highest level of safety Coordinates with the QA/QC Manager and ensures proper implementation of MAC'S QA/QC Plan Ensures efficiency and good productivity of the working crews Ensures implementation of stores logistics, coordination of project materials, transport etc Ensures implementation of all requirements needed for completion and taking over the works Implements the contractual scope of work and ensures the maintenance of all related records Ensures smooth interfacing with other subcontractors and contractors on the job Job Requirements: Minimum 15-20 years of experience in construction works A graduate of an excellent university with a minimum of B.Sc in Engineering Very strong personality with leadership qualities Excellent communication with others Experience in the construction of Petrochemical Plants, Gas Compression Plants, Refinery works, Power Stations, Power Plants and tank erection works; and knowledge about heavy rigging, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works related to plant erection works Proficient in the project management tools and systems
