Job Description

Job Objective:
  • To oversee and manage smooth Learner Services and to provide necessary directives to the team in maintaining a supportive learning environment and administrative support to team members in maintaining excellent learners services.
  • To develop, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and supervise variety of activities and an array of learner services-oriented programs that lead to development of overall personality of the learner services.  
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Participates in the departmental strategic planning and budgeting as well as Implementation of LSM  related Policies, Procedures and other required documents aligning to the university Objectives, Mission, Vision and Core Values.
  • Monitors and guides all initiatives that help learners to develop their personalities and career prospectus.
  • Directs adoption of core values for efficient and effective services and to ensure university branding is positioned.
  • Develop an effective system of extra-curriculum activities and monitor its implementation.
  • Prepares and submits timely reports about performance and activities of the unit.
  • Coordinates with the various schools and other departments to provide learners with the necessary supporting services such as orientation sessions, tutoring, and academic advising.
  • Coordinates and guides the activities and services of career planning, career advising, and learners’ placement.
  • Participates in the recruitment activities for learners.
  • Consults and works closely with a group of designated counselors to help learners overcome emotional and psychological problems.
  • Supervises and monitors updated e-libraries and related resources and ensure that they are supporting the academic programs.
  • Ensures prudent and effective use of the resources of the Learner Services Unit.

Desired Profile

  • Bachelor Degree with a minimum 5 years of experience or a Master Degree (preferable) with a minimum 2 years of relevant experience. 
  • Effective management leadership approaches.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and event-management skills.  
  • Strong ability to communicate orally and in writing in both Arabic and English. 
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some afteoon shifts. 
  • Enthusiasm to try new ideas and come up with initiatives and innovative approaches to solving problems. 
  • High energy and strong work ethics. 
  • Problem solving abilities. 

Key Skills

Strong personality and ability to create rapport with learners, faculty, and fellow staff.
