Job Description
Job Objective:
- Develop supply chain strategies, processes and systems.
- Manage key supply chain functions such as materials planning, scheduling and ordering activities associated with the delivery of specific customer products, strategic sourcing, direct and indirect material purchasing, inventory control and warehousing, shipping and receiving.
- Review the service levels currently provided by third party logistics supplier and move the relationship forward to ensure enhanced levels of service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops strategies, plans and policies and processes.
- overall strategy, and ensures their effective implementation.
- Develops annual budget with supplier/vendor in coordination with the Marketing function.
- Develops a comprehensive vendor/supplier network by creating cross-border synergy and Logistics partnership.
- Plans and develops a set of metrics to monitor the supply chain so that it is efficient, cost effective and delivers high quality and value.
- Manages goods and services inventory, receives and verifies shipment, ensures that they are shipped to the regions/ branches on a timely basis and authorizes supplier payments.
- Coordinates receipt of orders; the logistics to get products to the warehouses and sets up an invoicing system to receive payments.
- Reviews contracts and vendor agreements from time to time and ensures appropriate use of funds to finance the procurement of goods from international vendors with payment made in the currency of the host country.
- In conjunction with the purchase, finance and sales functions, plans and forecasts material requirements, accurately.

- Develops policies and processes for storage of goods and monitors structural issues such as the optimum number of warehouses and distribution centers.
- Monitors vendors performance and manage vendor relationship, gains cooperation and negotiates pricing.
- Plan activities related to obtaining products and materials from suppliers.
- Coordinates with suppliers on matters of scheduling, supply continuity and research new sources and ensures lead time is shortened by controlling inbound material synchronized to demand and lead time.
- Develops logistics strategy for specific product lines, location and customer and defines the service levels that is cost effective.
- Prepares and submit reports to the immediate manager.
- Develops and trains team members and ensures efficient operation of the function in alignment with the organization succession planning initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Desired Profile
- BE (Mechanical/Agriculture) with MBA in Supply Chain Management/ Material Management/ Operations. CSCP-APICS qualification is an added advantage.
- 12-15 years of overall experience in an equivalent position.
- Previous working knowledge in distribution, warehousing and storage operations and Integrated logistics support management.
- Good planning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to assess the practices currently in operation and recommend long-term strategic improvements to further advance the function..
- Ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Ability to interface with inteal departments and exteal service providers at all levels in order to foster collaborative practices.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Good problem-solving and innumeracy skills Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
- Excel ent verbal and oral communication skills in Arabic and English.
Key Skills
Excel ent knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP (MM module).
