Job Objective:
Handling the Contracts Management for the company overseeing the company and client interests throughout the project life cycle including reducing all financial and legal risks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make sure the conditions of the contracts are respected.
- Make sure the financial risks are identified.
- Manage the changes (financial and temporal feasibility, impacts).
- Handle potential complaints.
- Analyze the offer and the coherence of the contractual clauses, perform risk management analysis.
- Propose practical details to consult the markets.
- Analyze offers’ compliance to customer’s rules and the current administrative and legal clauses.
- Ensure that the contractual obligations for the customer, the suppliers, the companies and the providers and their subcontractors are duly met.
- Identify any opportunity of improvement to the contract: create and negotiate the corresponding amendments.
- Manage the penalties issue and its repercussions.
- Analyze the litigations.
- Supervise all the required statements related to the insurances and the public authorities.
- Use Primavera Contract Management Program.
- Perform all administration activities related to signed contracts with external parties within the Project Management & Operations department, this includes (but is not limited to): Contracts payments processes, Change orders processes, Claims administration processes, Material change requests, Contracts filing and archiving processes and Other related activities.
- Ensure that all contract obligations are understood, agreed on and adhered to by all parties involved.
- Monitor contracts progress and payment status and ensure that appropriate reporting of project contracts status is provided.
- Ensure that all contracts administration activities (i.e. payments, change orders, claims administration, material change requests, etc.) are updated and registered in the Consultant / Contractor Management system in order to ensure proper contract audit and management.
- Report any contract breaches and non-adherence issues to the Central Procurement, Project Managers and higher company management.
- Writing of contractual letters whenever necessary.
- Perform all filing and archiving activities and ensure that all contracts documentations related to the Project Management & Operations department and to Head Office are filed and archived properly. This should include documents such as (but is not limited to): Payments vouchers, Change orders, Disputes, Claims and other related documentation.
- Coordinate with Document Control Center for proper filling of important contractual documents.
- Supervise a team of Quantity Surveyors and coordinates between Estimation and Procurement for a smoother operation in Head Office.
Desired Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and or (Quantity surveying + Business Law) with a minimum 10 years of related experience.
- At least 5 years experience in contract management preferably in construction of oil and gas projects.
- Must have used Primavera Contract Management during former projects.
- The candidate must be fluent in writing and communicating in English. French is a plus.
- Good knowledge of the principles and practices of contracts management.
- Must be a professional of unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character.
- Inteational Experience.
- Middle East Experience – Saudi experience is a plus.
- Experience working within large projects.
- Contracts management experience.
- Quantity Surveying.
- Organizing and Planning Skills.
- Problem Solving skills.
- Deep knowledge of professional English language.
